Inspirited Mom is two years old this month. Though I’ve used a free blogging platform prior to having my domain, I consider Inspirited Mom as my official site. After attending a couple of blogging workshops I was convinced that I needed to own my writing and take it the next level. I have to “own my words” as my blog teacher pointed out.
The blog carries the tagline, Spur one another in love. It has been my mission to encourage, push, inspire moms to be better versions of themselves. To find their passions and pursue them. To explore new things, seek their God-given talents and use them to glorify God. And above all, to know God and love Him more.
Lately, I have been contemplating on what else I can offer you, my dear readers. I prayed long and hard for this next venture. After weeks of prayer and consultation with godly women, fellow bloggers, the Lord has inspired me to come up with: Inspirited Mom’s Minute Mondays.
Minute Mondays (Read, pray and write) is going to be Inspirited Mom’s Maiden Blog Series. I am hoping and praying that first, you be patient with me as I am a newbie at doing blog series. Second, you follow along with the other readers as well.
So what is Minute Mondays all about:
A lot of people dread Mondays, right? It’s the start of the work week, school week, the start of a busy week for most of us. At times we already feel tired just thinking about the week ahead. So before we drag our feet to do what we’re supposed to do, let’s start the week with a new perspective. Minute Mondays is all about you giving yourself time to pause for a few minutes each day to read, pray and write.
We are all familiar with biblical characters like Moses, Abraham, David and Jesus, our Savior himself and what their lives were. I have often talked about them here too. But as a woman of the 21st century, I want to look at other biblical characters that have impacted not only the men in their lives but their communities, nation and the world.
For the month of September, I have decided to start looking at some fascinating women of the Bible. There are a lot (!) and I will be sharing a few of my favorites. We will see their stories, their struggles and victories in life as a woman.
First, you need to READ verses about these women. As we get to know them, we will see the parallelism of their lives to ours today. We will look at their attitudes, their character and how that uplifted or crippled them as a women.
Then, PRAY and ask God what lesson/s He is teaching you about this woman. Do you have the same attitude as hers or maybe going through the same trial she is going through? How can she help or encourage you to be better or be victorious in life? What character trait do you want to emulate or develop as you get to know these women?
Lastly, the WRITE part. Yes, you will be writing! Jot down all the insights you gained, your aha moments and concrete steps to becoming a better wife, mother and woman. This is the beginning of your journaling journey! Hooray! Don’t fret, whatever you write is for your eyes only. Whatever you write on your journal is between you and God. It is my utmost desire that as you continue to do this, reading, praying and journalling, until it will become a habit to you.
So, how is this going to happen? If you are already subscribed to my blog, you will be receiving weekly Minute Monday posts via email. If you haven’t subscribed to the blog do so here.
