The Christmas countdown begins! Have you considered supporting local businesses this year? As early as September, these business owners are hard at work filling in orders for their clients. Setting up a small business is not easy. I am aware of the sleepless nights, aching backs, tired legs, sweat and tears these business owners go through to produce quality products.
As a mompreneur, I totally support other start-up entrepreneurs. One way of helping them is by buying their products. Word of mouth is a great marketing tool that will fuel their business too. Let us use social media wisely by posting share-worthy businesses that will help them grow.
I found this quote from Pinterest which sums up what am I trying to say… “When you buy from a mom and pop business, you are not helping a CEO buy a third vacation home. You are helping a little girl get dance lessons, a little boy get his team jersey, a mom or dad put food on the table, a family pay a mortgage, or a student pay for college. Our customers are our shareholders and they are the ones we strive to make happy.”
Holiday bazaars will be setting up sooner than we think. Why not scout your local bazaars in the coming weeks? Discover new and awesome homemade and handmade products you can give away this holiday. And get to meet some of your local business owners
Here are some locally made products that I love and support. I hope you’ll check them out too!
